As I’m sure you have felt first hand, moms are struggling with the pandemic. In fact, 27% of working parents of young children say they expect to have to leave the workforce to take care of their kids.
This situation is heartbreaking. Moms are more affected since childcare duties are more likely to fall with them. According to Bright Horizons, breadwinning mothers are:
Three times more likely to be keepers of their kid’s schedules and responsible for getting them to activities (76% vs. 22%)
Three times more likely to volunteer at school (62% vs. 19%).
Almost twice as likely to make sure all family responsibilities are handled (71% vs. 38%)
So if it feels hard right now, it is. And you are not alone.
