Recently I’ve been obsessed with Outschool — small group online classes for kids. My five-year-old, Rowan spent the spring hiding under the table for all of his Zoom calls. I can’t have a full year of that now.
I’ve found classes around his passions, like a Minecraft meet-up where kids his age share what they’ve built on the platform. Or, a sight word class around sharks. My introverted son is now upset because he couldn’t participate as much as he wanted during class.
Chloe is not to be outdone, by taking classes on coding video games, drawing Dogman comics and Animal Crossing bug classes.
Outsource a bit of your homeschooling to some creative, qualified teachers. It’s been great.
