One trap I see moms fall into is an all-or-nothing mentality: ‘I don’t want to go to bed at 8:30 pm because I’ll never have any time for myself.’ Or ‘I need to hop back on every night to make up for the missed time during the day.’
Today’s tip: Every day doesn’t have to be the same. Getting a bit of a weekly routine could help provide the breaks you need. Here are some examples:
Go to bed early one night, so you can wake up super early for me-time or crunch out uninterrupted work.
Put your laptop away at 5 pm one night, so you have a night of self-care or date night with your partner.
Work late (even through dinner) one night, to give yourself more flexibility for the rest of the week.
Especially during this crazy time, mix it up.
